Public Transportation 

 

Virginia Regional Transit (VRT) is the single public transit provider in the Rappahannock-Rapidan Region. RTC programs maintain a non-competitive filter model when providing services; meaning all requests for transportation are first referred to any available public transportation options. Utilizing our existing public transportation is a critical component of mobility management as it ensures the use of available transit which is traditionally funded through state, federal, and local sources; and the conservation of limited-alternative mobility options which have less financial supports.
